Bamboo energy saving stove
JATONET developed a stove that uses Bamboo as fuel an has many advantages. We created a low-cost cooking system that is safe to the environment. It is estimated that the greatest health risk to women an children in Kenya is caused by smoke inhalation from indoor cooking.
In order to create a product that is affordable to people who live with $2 per day which successfully reduces emissions, we have designed a stove with a pipe filtering system.

The many advantages include:
-
Production of clean-burning cooking stove which could reduce CO2 emissions by over 75% entering the atmosphere
-
It uses up to 70% less fuel than other stoves hence reduce costs on fuel
-
Reduction in diseases associated with toxic smoke which can lead to lung cancer, low birth rate, TB, higher infant mortality an asthma as well as pneumonia and other respiratory infections
-
Reduction in back and neck injuries in women and children who suffer from gathering and carrying fuel wood

Bamboo forest in Bungoma
Bamboo is an ideal source of bio energy.
It is one of the fastest- growing plants on the planet and can be harvested after 3 years thereafter up to 150 years. It induces reduction in environmental degradation by reducing deforestation and CO2 emission to the atmosphere.

Bamboo
products
Bamboo offers many new opportunities for income generation and can be processed into a wide range of wood products, such as floorboards and furniture, has medicinal value and can be eaten as a source of food.
The entire bamboo plant can also be used to produce charcoal, which burns longer and produces less smoke and air pollution than 'natural' charcoal.
We are aware of those bamboo advantages and we attempt to develop our own products.
