JATONET needs volunteers. During all the year, between 2 weeks and 6 months, we welcome volunteers that want to contribute to our community projects. We provide an excellent opportunity for people between the ages of 18 and above who are students, graduates and passionates professionals to participate to JATONET's work.

 

Feel free to apply if you are motivated, if you have social kills and if you feel concerned with environmental issues.

Such help could include:

•  Raising and maintaining of  bamboo seedlings

• Helping in environment empowerment and agricultural project. We are also always open to more ideas from experienced persons in organic farming, agroforestry, land management, environmental studies or other related subjects.

•  Asssisting in producing new baboo poducts. This help could include researches on marketing potential, community capacity and investment needs. Product-designer, cabinetmaker or people with a good knowledge about bamboo will be apprecited for this project.

•  Sensitizing Bungoma's population to environmental and healthy issues.

• Assisting our community in fighting jiggers and helping to treat the people affected.

• Supporting our temporary projects (cleaning events in Bungoma city, etc.)

• Developping and refreshing JATONET's facebook page, website;  maintaining our communication.

• Assisting in building new bamboo cottages.
